Confessions of a Disney Princess by soul-less-puppet Confessions of a Disney Princess by soul-less-puppet
To celebrate Princess Leia's initiation to the Disney Princess family, I thought it would be fun to do a little comparison of how Daddy's' little girls compare.
I know it's not high quality, and, it may not be completely accurate, but I just did this for fun. Enjoy!!

Aeriel, Jasmine, Leia (c) Disney

Wow. Third panel is not exactly what i call a joyful moment... but then again, it's understandable, since that one is all about wars in the galaxy, hence the name Star Wars.

The other two, on the other hand are more of age with the kids, as far as that's concerned.

Dear Leia, Your biological father was also a whiney little bitch who brought all his greif on himself. If he had listened to Yoda, instead of acting like a know-it-all teenager, his wife would still be alive and he would probably be happy. Please remember that your adoptive father was pretty damned cool, and gave you all the fatherly love you'll ever need, as well as teaching you how to shoot the balls off a storm trooper with a blaster rifle!

Well maybe if Yoda hadn't told him that any attachment at all was a path to the Dark Side, he wouldn't have been so lost and confused, now would he?

:iconavinashtyagi:

He wasn't confused, he just refused to accept the truth.

Had he not been so obsessed with saving Padme at the expense of everything else, she would have lived.

Instead he allowed himself to believe that he could justify any action with that end in mind and ended up bringing about the very thing he had sought to avoid.

He was at first. And then "Wise Master Yoda" gave him the worst possible advice you can give someone who's seeing portents foretelling someone's untimely demise.

No, he gave him great advice

A wise person would have detached himself from such worries, Anakin wasn't wise enough to take the advice

Attachment to the impermanent traps us into foolish paths. Life is impermanent, and everyone dies.

I think Anakin would have been more predisposed to listen to that if it hadn't come from the 800-Year Old Virgin. We can't all be Buddha, most of us NEED an attachment to something to function, especially if that something is someone you've loved since you both were young. Heck, that's what brought Anakin BACK from the Dark Side, just to show you how wrong Yoda was. Which is yet another piece for my thesis that Luke was the only Jedi we see who has ANY understanding of how emotions work, something which eluded even the "great" Yoda, and which I can ascribe to Luke being raised in a loving environment, rather than being brainwashed by Jedi dogma since before he could walk.

How do you know Yoda wasn't a playa in his younger days?

Also Anakin didn't come back because of his attachment, he came back because he had a pang of guilt, guilt that was shown by his son being a better person than he was.

Luke was closer to detachment than his father was, which was why he was able to shrug off the influence of the Dark Side. Why when even when angry and protective of his sister, he shrugged off the temptations of the Emperor. This shamed Anakin into action.

Well, look at him. I don't think there are THAT many species that find a wad of chewed gum to be an attractive shape.

We only have Anakin's word to go by, and anyone who's just come out of spending 25 years as the baddest bastard in the galaxy is going to be hard on themselves.

Sure, Luke was "detached", THAT'll explain why he was so determined to bring his father back that he willingly walked into the lion's den, THAT was why he was willing to die for that cause that he surrendered even when he was sure he'd die in the Rebel attack on the Death Star if he did so.
